Confirmation is a public affirmation of the faith into which you have been baptised. It is the point in your Christian journey when you lay hold of the truth of the Gospel (good news), for yourselves. As with Baptism, confirmation is a serious commitment that shouldn’t be undertaken lightly. Your wholehearted desire to follow Jesus is confirmed by the Bishop through the laying on of hands and prayers. Prayers are also offered by the Church so that, through the work of the Holy Spirit, you might grow to be more like Jesus.
Ephesians 1:13
"In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit"
To be confirmed you should be fourteen years of age or over and a member of Holy Trinity.
